| Kättilö/Barösund. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| The island of Kättilö is an old pilot station and the remains of the harbour and village foundations dating back to 13th century are still visible. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Häradskär. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

This is the region’s most eastern spur with a lighthouse dating from 1863 and has a long history as a pilot station and fishing village. Guided tours of the lighthouse are available as is accommodation. Tel Nr 0734-32 12 58. |

The eastern side of the island of Fångö remains as a monument to the once thriving industrial community of Gruvholmen which was sustained by copper mining between the years 1821-74. |

There is a full service marina located here which includes hotel, youth hostel, restaurant as well as service station which is open 24 hours a day. The hotel and youth hostel offer accommodation for 42 people in various rooms, including family rooms. Man has lived on this island since 1543. The island is famous for its well- preserved community where the islanders made their living from seal culling. Nowadays the visitor can enjoy the locally smoked fish, overnight facilities, a bakery, a restaurant and if the weather allows, light refreshments outdoors. Eköns Camping. This area is classed as a nature reserve and is located at the mouth of Slätbaken. The island is home to a rich and varied bird life and diverse vegetation. Accommodation in the form of cottages and wonderfully situated tenting facilities by the water are also available. The island offers the visitor a small shop, café, mini golf, boat rental, rambling trails and wonderful swimming opportunities. Bokö. Half of this island is classed as a nature reserve and includes a number of the surrounding islands and islets. It is famous for its meadows and natural beauty.
